Looking for suggestions here. The site variation capability that comes
with the publishing feature in MOSS replicates the content pages in the
"pages" library as expected to the variant sites. The problem, however,
is that it treats the webpart storage as being unique for each variant
site. So the webparts don't work properly in the variant sites (because
the webpart storage data is missing). In a company with 30,000+
employees, storing this information in a list is not an option. Any
ideas?

I am hoping, worse case scenario, its possible to programmatically
update the webpart storage in the variant sites somehow following a
source site update...
