Can someone help me understand the situations where a page in
unghosted? I know that if you touch a page with Sharepoint designer
that it will unghost it, but what about if you create a site, save it
as a site template, then create sites based on that template? Does
that unghost the page? What about the microsoft site templates (the
big 40)? Does installing and utilizing those mean that the resulting
sites are unghosted?

I think that so long as the orignal site was from a site definition
that it won't matter if it's saved as a template since it will still
refer to the site definition in the 12 hive, am I correct?
