Using the latest and greatest versions of SharePoint and Portal
Server, I have created a subarea of the Portal using the Site
Directory area template.

The home page of this area shows content from an associated list
called "Sites" and the page also carries a search field. I assumed
that this search field (NOT the Portal search field) would search
this "Sites" list, however, it doesn't appear to be working.

Does anyone know:

- Is this search field actually searching the "Sites" list?
- If it is, why might it not be working?
