All Site Content won't show all site content

Asked By: Laci    Date: Aug 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2938

I recently had to restore a subsite back into our site collection after a user
screwed up the site bigtime. I did this with stsadm -o export and import. The
export was done from our staging environment which is identical apart from the
site collection administrators etc that are different. I deleted the messed up
site then performed the import into the same location.

Now i find that this 'fixed' site although working perfectly, refuses to list
anything within the All Site Content page (_layouts/viewlsts.aspx). No Sites,
Lists, Document Libraries, nothing! But all the stuff is there and can be
accessed by the well known addresses of each one. Everything else in the site
collection works just dandy. I can see everything when going through the
'Content and Structure' tree.

The other symptom of this is when trying to create a new list or library. When
i do Site Actions - Create, all i get is 3 choices in the 1 column for Basic
Page, Web Part Page and Sites and Workspaces. I should see the other columns ie
Libraries, Communications, Tracking and Custom Lists.

Site Actions - Site Settings works fine - i see all expected options in all
columns.

I've tried the obvious things ie logging in as different users, different
permission levels, different site collection admin accounts but to no effect.

Was because the 'Team Collaboration Lists' Feature somehow had become
