Showing your sites in the 'SAVE AS' window?

Asked By: Palash    Date: Feb 22    Category: MOSS    Views: 1016

I haven't dealt much with MOSS at the desktop/Office 2007 level. I've
been getting a few questions from folks now that we moved our MOSS
sites to a new farm as to how to get their new sites to show up in the
SAVE AS... dialogue box from within their Office apps.

I've found that you can manually add this via: "My Network Places" /
Add a Network Place, but that doesn't explain how the old MOSS farm's
sites would show up automatically for these folks within Office.

What's the standard/easiest method for Office users to be able to get
them to have their MOSS sites/libraries appear in Office 2007?

In Central Administration, in your SSP, click on "Published links to
Office client applications".

See if that helps. Otherwise, once a user has save  an Office 2007 file
to a SharePoint site, the Office app will put that link in the "My
SharePoint Sites" section in the Save As dialogue box.
