Showing my custom List in Boxed ViewStyle

Asked By: Robin    Date: Jul 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1008

I have created an area template, and in CustList i have modified my Schema.xml file for add my own Fields. Things were fine till now.
I have an requirement now that, this
1) list should be display in a Boxed Style.

As i reffered the VWSTYLES.xml for the ViewStyles tag, but i am not finding the reference with my schema.xml file in my list.

So, i created a custom View in Schema.xml in my list, .... but still not getting the o/p.

Once sonmething has been created  from a custom  definition, any subsequent changes to that defintion will not be reflected in any thing created from the template  priot to the changes.

There are a few "hot spot" exceptions to this rule but in general things  are
cast from the definition upon creation.

Three key hot spots in the WSS v2 ONET.XML:
DisableWebDesignFeatures element of the Project tag
LinkBars
ListTemplates

There may be others but these were the ones I always leveraged.

Not sure about WSS v3 yet.
