Show Section in InfoPath 2010 based on the user

Asked By: Tina Murphey         Date: Dec 22, 2011      Category: Sharepoint 2010      Views: 836

I need to hide a section if the user entering/modifying an item in one list is not one that has been defined in another SharePoint list. I can get to the list with the names of the valid users but when I do the comparison to username() it doesn't match. What I've discovered is that although I'm seeing the name in the display, they actual data that is there is the ID that is auto generated for each item of that list. Does anyone have some suggestions or know the solution for accomplishing what I'm trying to do here?

List One: File Clerks List

List Two: File Request List

Info Path Form over File Request List:

Top Section: Show to all users

Bottom: Only show this section to Valid file clerks. Thus the user name of the person signed in to SharePoint is in the File Clerk List.

Thank you for your help,
T
