Sharing SP site between companies

The company I work for (FGI) is an umbrella company for two other companies (DSI
and TabTech). Our IT Dept and HR Dept support all three companies. We
currently have a SharePoint intranet set up for our biggest company, DSI which
includes a site collection for the HR Dept and the IT Dept. These sites are
branded with the colors of DSI.

We now need to do SharePoint intranet sites for our other companies. We do not
want the other two companies to use the DSI IT and HR sites because it has the
DSI colors. I'm trying to figure out the best way to structure it so that HR and
IT do not have to post information individually on each of the different
companies' sites. The only thing I can come up with is to create HR and IT dept
sites for each of the other companies and then when HR/IT posts to the DSI site
use workflows to have the information automatically post to the other sites.
The only problem I can find with this is that if they include links to documents
they will be wrong when they post to the other HR/IT dept sites.

Has anyone else encountered this or any suggestions on how to handle this?
