Sharing files in different sites

Asked By: Jordan Lewis         Date: Sep 08, 2009      Category: MOSS      Views: 160

We are looking into implementing Sharepoint 2007.

My question is wether one file is available from different sites or
should you in fact save this files in those several sites?

Looking at the name Share, I would say save only once and create links
to different sites ?

You can use the Content Query WebPart

msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa981241.aspx

You might also be able to use the 'Link to' content type that is in every site.

Check blog post entitled "One document, multiple Document Libraries" at
www.toddklindt.com/.../Post.aspx?ID=49 that provides some
options.
