Sharing a custom list, calendar, Importing Contacts

Asked By: Marcella Rojas         Date: Jan 16, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 180

I have a few set of questions.

1. I have a calendar site at URL http://abc/A/B/default.aspx

Can it be used on a page at URL http://abc/A/C/default.aspx

2. Can I import names directly from outlook in contact list rather than adding
one at a time ?

Any suggestions please.

[Reply] If both sites are in the same content database, have you tried using a
Data View Web Part? Better, have you tried converting the list  View Web Part to
a Data View Web Part using SharePoint Designer?

2.
Can I import  names directly  from outlook  in contact  list rather than adding one

[Reply] Link the SharePoint contact list to Outlook and it will appear and behave
like a native Outlook contact list. Then, I think you can just copy all the
contacts from your local Outlook contact list to the linked SharePoint contact
list.
