SharePoint WIKI Limitations

Asked By: Madeline    Date: Dec 15    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1985

I have just started working with SharePoint WIKIs and have been
challenged to create several wiki sites for our organization. What I
have found is that there seems to be a limit on the number of links to
other pages you can have. This limit seems to be 100. Is there any where
that this limit can be changed. It seems very likely that a wiki page
would have more than 100 links.

I have a wiki  page with over 100 links  to other wiki pages.

Are you seeing error messages? How are you bumping up against this
limit?

I am working  in my test environment and have added a list of items that
I will eventually expand. They include links  of the alphabet as well as
links to 94 other items. Once I hit the 100th item, the links turn
themselves off. I stumbled upon this by accident. I had added the 94
items first then started  the alphabet, got through to F and had to quit
for awhile. When I resumed, the links for the last 20 item lost their
link. When I removed the alphabet again, the links reappeared. Any
ideas?

started  poking around a little more and
found that the wiki  web site I created seemed to be corrupt. I deleted
it and started fresh and all is working  as I expected.
