For any SharePoint user-- all sites working on.

Asked By: Antione    Date: Oct 24    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 552

Does anyone have a mechanism to do this-- either in Portal or WSS-----

Can I click on a users name and be returned all sites that that person is a participant in???

Why?--- Corporate rules mandate that we have ONE place to go to deactivate a persons access-- so when that person changes jobs -- we go to that ONE place and remove access to his/hers old job functions.

Active Directory is used to do that--- but I would rather have SharePoint accomplish same, using Site Groups and CrossSite Groups --- is this POSSIBLE?

So-- in SharePoint---- can I click on a users name and be returned all sites that that person is working on???

Not exactly what you are describing, but may do the trick for you:

SharePoint Site Permissions Manager

Thanks-- but I was HOPING for something 'out of the box' which I was
unaware of.

You see-- our Corporate server farm admins are very cautious about
3ed part Webparts.

There is nothing OOB that I am aware of that does what you need. It
would have to be a 3rd party tool, or custom development if your company
would be more comfortable with that instead.
