sharepoint Uninstallation

Asked By: Joshua    Date: May 03    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 625

I have gone out of my mind. I mistakly uninstalled WSS
first before SPS. Now I am not able to uninstall SPS.
It gives me error to debug in CLr or VS.net. I don't
know how to make a clean Uninstallation now.

I don't have time to look it up, but there is a knowledge base article that
explains what to do to resolve this problem. Please do a good search in
TechNet on this.

I believe it's KB - #827755.

I also did this to one of my servers and it keeps rearing it's ugly head anytime I uninstall  SharePoint. I'm not sure if the service pack will take care of the problem as I haven't uninstalled since then.

We had also faced the same problem. What we had done is

1. We had deleted the All the folders related to Portal (i.e Ms Shared, 60, templates etc…..)

2. We had deleted the entries that are associated with the Portal (Search for “ SPS ” )

Be Alert when you are deleting the entries in the Registry
