Sharepoint timer service

Asked By: Theresa    Date: Dec 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 929

We've been wrestling with trying to enable email attachments to a
document library on SBS 2003 server with wss.

Everything seems to be correctly in place both in Exchange and on
Sharepoint. At first I thought maybe it was a simple path issue or folder
permission but I guess that's not it. Apparently the timer service is not
working so Sharepoint won't check the shared folder. Win 32 timer service
not found. (or something close to that effect) The Sharepoint deployment was
initially flawless, or so it seemed but the server has had two auto services
"not working" errors since we deployed it. After having worked with server
2000 for a couple of years I was happy it was only two. Lol

Anyway, do I have to reinstall Sharepoint or does anyone else know what to

Here are the only errors I've been seeing regularly:

The store.exe process is allocating more memory than usual.

Check to see if you are having problems with e-mail. If so,[no not really.]
stop and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.

You can disable this alert or change its threshold by using the Change Alert
Notifications task in the Server Management Monitoring and Reporting

19012 : SuperSocket Info: Bind failed on TCP port 1433.

Access denied attempting to launch a DCOM Server. The server is:

I ordered a copy of small business accounting 2006 demo in hopes that it
will help us streamline our contacts and reports and invoicing via
Sharepoint. We have several small offices and can't shell out the dough for
a big SQL 2000 platform like Great Plains or Everest or Mas200 or anything
so I was hoping to leverage as much of the native Sharepoint/Exchange
capability as is humanly possible like emailing invoices to Sharepoint from
remote offices for centralized billing and stuff.
