Sharepoint through a Proxy server

Asked By: Tyler Collins         Date: Nov 26, 2004      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 537

My company has a small Sharepoint site that we host on
the internet. For the most part it works great, but we
have found that if you try to go to a page that requires
authorizaiton through a proxy server it chokes. At our
office we have an ISA server. If you try to access the
restricted sections will proxing you get an error message
of "Cannot complete this action. Please try again."
That's it. If we configure the web browsers to not proxy
this site then everythign works fine. Now we are also
finding that one of our users who is on AOL is havign the
same problem when they access the site.

I've searched all over for information on accessing a
sharepoint site through a proxy but have been unable to
find related information. Can some one please tell me
why Sharepoint is choking on the proxy.
