Sharepoint and Task

Asked By: Ashu    Date: Dec 23    Category: MOSS    Views: 632

In sharepoint if you assign a task from a task list it will send an
email to the assingee, but if you have office 2003 it comes in to inbox
mail, but it does not have the same characteristics as a task created
in outlook, does office 2007 give you the ability? and if not what use
is it to assign task in sharepoint that gets sent to outlook where the
user can not use outlook to manage that task.

It's a function of Outlook 2007. Although you can't complete the task  directly
in Outlook 2003, you can use the link to open the task in sharepoint  and manage
it. The newer version has new bells and whistles, but workflow works either
way.
