Sharepoint SSL Help

When using https:// when accessing my workspace from the internet I cannot add
documents oder folders. After a short wait time (60 seconds) I receive the error
message:
"Access Denied - You do not have permission to access this item"
When I access the FQDN using http (Port 80) only, everything works fine! What's
happening here?
