SPS Beta 2.0
In sharepoint portal server configuration - virtual server and portal site
configuration:

When I list portals -- there are none (good!)
Trying to "create" a portal with all the parameters completed -- get:
"Logon failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'

Qwestion(s): what is sps trying to logon to?
I even went into IIS and enabled anonymous logon for the defalt
server
when I get the above error the url is:
http://localhost:15893/sps/portalcreate.aspx

you need to be authenticated to the portal  as you, an
administrator or some other user. You wouldn't want any anonymous user
to be able to create portals, now would you?

I would go back to IIS and turn off anonymous and make sure Windows
Integrated Authentication is turned on.
