Sharepoint SP1 v1 - Subscription Problems

No notifications are being generated for documents on the workspace,but they are
generated for the folder where the documents are posted.
I am getting this problem in one particular workspace,but for rest of
workspaces, everything is fine.
I have checked the settings on Sharepoint Admin tab as well as on SMTP server.
