Sharepoint Site Migration

Asked By: Quinton Joseph         Date: Oct 17, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 2108

I have the need to move an existing site in an exiting sharepoint server
2003 (SQL database) into a new sharepoint portal. They two servers are not part of the same farm,
however the databases reside on the same SQL server for both servers. What is the best way to go
about migrating this site?

You can use the stsadm or smigrate utility to backup the individual site  and restore it to the new server
