Sharepoint Server 2007 Workflow Walkthrough...

Asked By: Pallavi    Date: May 22    Category: MOSS    Views: 985

This question concerns the article titled "Walkthrough: Creating
Office SharePoint Server 2007 Workflows in Visual Studio 2005" found
on the SharePoint Server 2007 Developer Portal.

I am already confused after beginning the first step of the
workflow. I (believe I) have installed all of the prerequisites for
this walkthrough. It states that I should select the SharePoint
Server project type when creating a new project. I don't have this
project type (I only have the SharePoint project type). I tried to
follow along as closely as I could, choosing the template with the
same name under the SharePoint project type. It states that you
should set certain properties of the onWorkflowActivated1 activity.
Some of these properites (Commented for example) don't exist in my
Properties window and when I attempt to change some of property
values to that which is listed it complains that they are invalid.

What am I missing?

I don't remember which Pre-req installs the SharePoint Server templates, but
these do exist in the RTM release. I think it was the WSS v3 extensions for
Visual Studio 2005. Your other problem I believe comes from the fact that
most of the walk throughs posted were based on one of the BETA releases and
don't match the RTM version exactly. I've been through a couple of them and
although they worked there were certain naming differences etc.
