Asked By: Raven    Date: Feb 05    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 695

Am just new to Sharepoint environ., My requirement is to have a
Scanner which is integrated with sharepoint. I want to know how this
would be acheived, whether any addons needs to be installed or via any
coding techniques are there to this.
And moreover how this would work whther once a doc is scanned it
would automatically sits in the SP Document library

You will need a third-party solution from a vendor like KnowledgeLake or
DarkBlueDuck.

This isn't available out of the box. But there are several solutions
available from third party companies. Check the following links for more
info.

It depends on how fancy the scanner is. We have a scanner here that will send a
scanned image to a network folder. If you tell the scanner to use the path to a
Document Library it should be able to place it with the UNC path of the
DocLib...
