Sharepoint, Powerpoint and SecuRemote

Asked By: Alyssa Lewis         Date: Oct 30, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 231

My site is currently running Sharepoint 2003 in a small farm
setup (1xweb, 1xsearch/index, 1xSQL 2005 cluster DB). Since day one of
setup, I have users telling me that they are unable to access
Powerpoint slides on Sharepoint via Checkpoint's SecuRemote. My own
tests concluded that Powerpoint slides with sizes 100kb and below are
accessible whereas larger slides will just hang on the document
downloading process. Does anyone here have any advise?

Are files of other types above 100 KB also problematic? It sounds like a
bandwidth issue to me.

Nope. It pertains only to powerpoint  slides. I have other office documents well above the 1Mb mark and they open without any issues.

I am unfamiliar with Checkpoint's SecuRemote, so that would be my next
suspicion.
