Sharepoint Lifecycle

I am pretty interested to understand the life cycle of sharepoint Web
sites/pages. starting from the request from browser till the response is
sent to browser.

Any pointers? I did some goggling but could not find any article which
give deep dive into this...

Well, essentially the client request comes into IIS, which authenticates the
user. This is then passed on to SharePoint where, depending on the page
being requested, SharePoint gets the page, attaches it to the proper
masterpage, as directed by the masterpage tag, then fills in the appropriate
content from the database and returns the rendered page.

Specifically, SharePoint pages are .ASPX so you should look up the .ASPX page
lifecycle to find your answer.

What exactly ISAPI filter will do during the life cycle?
