SharePoint Health Analyzer, 5x the amount of installed ram

Asked By: Sarojini    Date: Nov 10    Category: MOSS    Views: 917

under SP 2010, the Health Analyzer is reporting an issue with the available
space not being at least 5x the ram on the box. I've Google and confirmed the
issue...I understand what SP is upset about but, I don't see any fix. I thought
turning the "Write debugging information" section in "Startup and Recovery" to
"small memory dump (256mb)" would fix it. It didn't. Any other ideas for
getting around this issue?

There is no way to change the behavior of that rule. Your only recourse
is to disable the rule entirely. All is not lost though. The 5x rule
state that SharePoint is "at risk" of running out of drive space. There
is a second rule at 2x where you're told SharePoint "is" running out of
drive space.
