SharePoint - Granular Site Usage Statistics

Here is what I need; a have a document library, and I need statistics
that show what users have viewed the individual documents within the
library. The Site Usage section is not this granular.

Are you aware of any Web Parts or add-ons that will create this

Auditing is built into WSS 3 and MOSS 2007.



Be aware that it will require custom development unless you can find a
prebuilt solution that meets your needs.

Always been a complaint of mine that there is not better OOB support for
fine grain auditing in WSS the hooks atre there but why its not surfaced
with soem app pages

Do you mean to view it or configure it?

You configure auditing by setting the Information Management Policy at
the scope where you want to audit. You can do it for the whole farm or
down to an individual  content type.
