Sharepoint Explorer View

Asked By: Sonny    Date: Nov 18    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1045

How do you set the rights so a user cannot access the explorer view of
a document library? More specifically, what user groups have access to
it (contributor, reader, admin...)?

Also, in a side note, when doing a google search for '
Sharepoint "Explorer View" ' I was able to hop on to .edu intranet
sites. By clicking 'Cancel' on the IE login form, I was able to (not on
purpose) access what appeared to be internal pages. Any one have any
idea why SharePoint allows this, and how to block it from happening to
my intranet site??

Regarding your side  note, this could happen if both integrated
authentication *and* anonymous were enabled.
