SharePoint doesn't allow to create "App_Data" folder in Explorer

I am trying to use SharePoint as CVS. However it seems SharePoint doesn't allow
creating "App_Data" folder in Explorer view. If I manually create folder with
the same name, it works fine.

I am missing something obvious?

it's probably conflicting with the iis folder. why are you doing this again?
