Sharepoint document libraryies

Everytime i create a new document library it is adding a column that is
showing up on the form. The column is TaskName i think i have found the
problem some how it got added to the content type documnet. When i go
out to the parent site and try to edit the document content type it has
2 columns name and taskname how can i remove the taskname column i do
not want this to show up again.
