Sharepoint dissapeared

Asked By: Daniel    Date: May 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 476

I had setup my sharepoint a couple of months agoa and all was working fine-
while testing- I then got invloved with a GP deployment on the same server and
had not done any further testing since- today as I decided to go take a look at
the sharepoint page I can no longer get to or the central adminstration page
either-

The only thing that i can think of that may have affected it was that in order
to deploy GP i had to remove the .net 3.5 and go to 2.0 i then came back to
3.5- I have no explanation- and I DO SEE the sharepoint databases in my sql
management studio so they are there- I just cant get to them-

any thoughts ?

I would imagine when you installed GP it is one of
the latest versions which also has a SharePoint component to it. Whenever you
had a new piece of software that uses SharePoint as part of its under-pinning
(i.e. Dynamics CRM, Project Server, GP) you usually need to re-run the
SharePoint configuration wizard so it can make final setting adjustments. That
is why it mostly worked after you did that.
