SharePoint corrupt

There was a virus attack, post attack on the rescuing the site, facing
the few issues:





We are facing a problem in Sharepoint 2001, where we are not able to
Index it.... And on trying to search for anything we get the following
error:

Unable to display document list. An internal server error has occurred.

For this Microsoft has given a resolution and suggested to install
Sharepoint Service Pack 1, which we have done but the problem still
exist...

The other issue is on assigning users and roles, it does not display any
error but at the same time doesn't save it as well.

Yes, SPS includes TIFF OCR as an option for search indexing out of the box. It
can also handle PDF when used with an appropriate 3rd party iFilter.

You need to repair sharepoint database with sharepoint repair software. then only your problem will resolve. use http://www.repairsharepoint.net
