SharePoint CALS - Standard or Enterprise?

Asked By: Mariah Deleon         Date: Oct 19, 2007      Category: MOSS      Views: 290

I have a question regarding SharePoint CALs. We currently have SP2003
with a 3 year true up that expires in June 2007. Do we have everything
that we need in order to fully utilize all the functionality of MOSS
2007.

What is everyone using - SharePoint Server 2007 Standard CALS or
SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise CALs?

This is so confusing now.

Nope - they will true  up to moss standard  cals

If you want to use forms server, excel server etc and the other nice
bits of moss enterprise  you need to add moss exnterprise cals  - i.e.
they're not an upgrade - you need both standard and enterprise to run
enterprise

We're only using Standard CALS.

If you want to use any Enterprise functionality, the users that will use
that functionality will need BOTH Standard AND Enterprise CALS.

Of course, server licenses are required as well.
