Sharepoint Based CRM

Asked By: Domonique    Date: Aug 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1514

A client has some fairly basic needs for a CRM system - keeping track of
individual's and/or company's contact info, some simple financial
tracking, etc. Their needs don't require the complexity or extensibility
of Salesforce.com or MS Dynamics, but would need to be a little more
developed than what you get directly out of the MS provided templates.
Since SBS2008 is going into their offices anyway, and they are already
excited about using some of the canned templates, and document library
capabilities, Sharepoint seems a natural option.

We don't want to put a lot of time in development, so the question is
what are some of the recommended for-purchase (or free templates, if
available) out there for sharepoint-based CRM system. A quick search
revealed a few options, but since this our first foray we're looking for
a leg up on what comes highly recommended/what is working for you.

We are facing the same issue. We opted for using the free  Call Center
template from MS with customizations that will be provided by Captare
Consulting. The project hasn't started yet but I have high confidence
in Captare and like that we are staying with MS products.

I think it's better for both of you to go to MS Dynamics CRM, and i think there
is no much different in the prices for the lic.
Why i am telling that, because i am sure for any kind of your requerment you'll
need too much development  to complete this project successfully.

Aren't Dynamic's licenses annually renewed?
