I'm rebuilding some of my existing solutions on a sharepoint 2010 box to see
what works & what doesn't & have a couple of questions.

(1) SharePoint List Filters: These seem to have a limit. I have a list which
has around 1000 items, the filter only displays the first few hundred even
though the view I'm using can display the whole list. I thought it might a
resource throttle originally but after doubling the settings & creating a time
window where throttles don't apply, the result is still the same. Any one else
seen this? is it a bug?

(2) In SPD 2007, when connecting webparts, I was able to create a link to the
child webpart on a particular column in the data view. In SPD 2010, I can
create the link, but it creates it using an icon on the left of the row on the
parent data view. This would be ok if you're linking to one child part, but
isn't exactly intuitive if you're linking to more than one & want different
links.

(3) Does anyone know of a good link that explains how the related item view
works?

I'm sure more things will come up as I do my testing ..... but those three will
do for now!
