The e-mail that gets sent from SharePoint 2007 when you invite users
to your collaboration space automatically contains the "Group
Description" field. The content of this field appears to come from
the "About Me" feild under Group Settings in "People and Groups". It
defaults to a very generic description that is clearly not meant for
your invitees. When I change the "About Me" verbiage, it changes
within Group Settings, but the "Group Description" that prints out in
the SharePoint 2007 invitation still shows the original verbiage,
which is "Use this group to give people contribute permissions to the
SharePoint site: xxxxxxxxx" where xxxxxxx represents the site to
which access is being extended. Is there a way to change the Gropu
Description verbiage in the e-mail before the invitation is sent out.
