SharePoint 2007 (Including SQL 2005 and MS Project Server 2007) Support Staffing

Asked By: Aiesha    Date: Apr 08    Category: MOSS    Views: 1188

My company is working on a rollout plan for SharePoint 2007 to include
Microsoft project Server 2007. As a department that uses SharePoint
regularly, what type of service personnel should I either build or
request of our deployment and support organization? What I would like
is the type of training or certification. What type of person or skill
set we should keep an eye out or what not to hire in this position would
be helpful as well.

Any concepts or ideas to this request is greatly appreciated.

We are also deploying project  Server 2007.

For us it is a one-man show: Me.

You will need to upgrade all of the Web Front ends,

Back up databases of course.

Determine which database the project server  data will be on,

And if you have a different instance to do the reporting, that will be
important too.

Other than that there is a whole world of Project Server 2007 that has
nothing to do with sharepoint. I hope that you have somone expert in
