I'm curious if anyone has had experience with implementing an interior
authoring environment that publishes content to a perimeter farm where
the interior environment is running SQL 2005 and the perimeter
environment is running SQL Server 2008.
Technet guidelines in "Internet Presence Scenario" @
technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc950782.aspx mentions that
both environments should be running SQL 2005 and also stresses the
need that the software between the two networks should be at the same
level of software updates. However that particular document hasn't
been updated in a while and I'm sure someone has tried it.
I have a feeling it's going to be a problem however I find myself in a
situation where much of the infrastructure has already been
established and I am trying to avoid downgrading the perimeter network
to SQL 2005.
