SharePoint 2003 and IE7

  Asked By: Felicia Hunter         Date: Jul 01, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 258

Are there any known issues with SharePoint 2003 and IE7? We are getting ready to
deploy IE7 and I wanted to be aware of any issues beforehand.

I asked this question on October 22nd:

Question:
Since IE 7 has been released, I was thinking of getting used to it before
Microsoft forces on us. Did anyone notice any side effects of IE 7 with
SharePoint for example CSS, JavaScript files etc.? I read few problems
online with IE 7 Beta. Is it OK to upgrade the browser? Need your opinion.

I have been using the two hand in hand for a while and have not come
across any issues.

We have seen a problem with the Rich Text Editor on certain SP 2003 sites
not opening in IE7. There is also a report from another member of this
group to the same effect. Only one of our servers is showing this behavior;
other servers are fine. We're treating it as a patch-level or configuration
problem at this point.

Our answer is to turn off all IE updates. We do not want 7 and we're
just a little narked that they keep thrusting it at us.
