Just installed Sharepoint and looking around it. I
had a question on Sharepoint Searchengine http://<server>/Search.aspx

I just wanted to know, if there are any api's / methods that I can
call to to search for content and get the response in a html/xml
format programmatically. If so what are they and how do I use them?.
Are there any sample programs / code snipettes?

Also, Please inform me of the best resource to get to know info on
Sharepoint. (Specifically the search part)

Technologies SDK found on Microsoft site.
