settings to activate site after DB restore from backup

Please tell me if there is any setting to change, for activate the site
after DB restore for the same.

I have successfully restored the DB and changed the content DB name with new
restored DB. But still browser gives the error as bad request or can't connect
to site etc.
May you please tell me, is there some different setting apart form restoring
the DB and changing content DB name to make web request successfull with latest
content deployed.

Are you saying that you restored a database with a site in it to the
same farm that the site exists in but using a different database name?

Then added it to the same farm? If so, that will not work.
