Setting value in a BooleanField web control

Asked By: Sade    Date: Apr 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2723

I have a BooleanField web control that I am embedding on a PageLayout.
I have set up the Yes/No field already with the default value set to
yes and I assigned it to my content type. When I go to the page and
select edit page from the Site Action menu the Checkbox that is
created by the BooleanField control is not checked. If I view the page
properties teh value is set to yes. Is there a way to make the
BooleanField control show the default value of the field? If I
manually check the box and save the page then the box is checked or
unchecked as it should be.

I ended up figuring it out. If the page  has already been created for
some reason the default  value does not propagate to the pagelayout  but
when I created a new page from the same layout it was set  correctly.

I believe the values that it really stores are 1 and 0.
