Setting Up SSO Portal 2003 (UNCLASSIFIED)

Asked By: Tapasvi    Date: May 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 885

I am attempting to configure SSO on my SP Portal 2003 server with MS SQL
2000 on a separate server. I have set the Microsoft Single Sign On Service
started and using a service account. I also created a database manually
called SSO. My service account has full Admin privileges on the database
server and also in SQL itself. But I am receiving the error message:

Login failed for user ('null'). Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL
Server connection.

My ODBC connection tests successfully and I have the SQL Tools, Enterprise
Manager installed on the server with a SQL Registration to my database
server that gives me no errors.

Also I am logging into the machine with the same account that I am using for

Right click your DB instance, go to Properties - Security and select SQL
Server and Windows Authentication mode.

Also I would like to add that I have also turned off "Integrated Windows
authentication" and left "Basic Authentication" enabled while attempting
this configuration.

I have SQL and Windows Authentication Mode set. :-( That was the first thing
I looked at too.

Is it possible to create a link to a colleague in mysite if they have not
created a mysite yet?

If you talking about MOSS 2007 now then I may have an answer for you. The
colleagues section of my site seems to begin populating once you have
imported users from your AD. If you haven't done that then i think they
have to create a my site before you can link to them.
