Setting up ssl

Asked By: Sansuma    Date: Jan 25    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 680

Hope someone can help me I've been trying to set up ssl with sharepoint and
have following the various documents and Bill English's book. I can access
the site and run round the dashboards using https no problem. However, my
first test was to add a new document folder, I get to enter the new name for
the folder press create and it just sits there doing nothing no error at
all. If I close that browser session and try to reconnect to the workspace
it just sits there trying to connect and never does. I have to reboot the
machine to sort it out! One thing I have noticed is that in the system log
there is a W3SVC error saying my instance of web site ( in my case 3) "has
invalid secure binding descriptor blah blah (host name ignored)". I check
with the adsutil and it says the bindings are there for the secure web site
etc. Any ideas/suggestions greatly received.

Ensure that the following folders must have "Scripts" access on the secure site:
workspacename/system/forms
workspacename/Portal
