Setting permissions for documents

Try telling each user 'check out' their own documents.
The 'check out' button is available to each user when
you:
1. Use Internet Explorer to view the shared documents
folder
2. Click the drop-down menu to the right of each
document listed
3. Each user must click 'check out' on his/her own
document to prevent others from deleting/renaming it.
