Setting up Alerts for an Entrie Site

Has anyone found an easy way to set up an alert for a group of people
whenever there is a change to anything within a specific site?

Best I can find is to go to each list and library and set up an alert
for each one. This seems a lot of work for a large site.

If you want to set up an alert for a group of people, you can try
SharePoint Alert Reminder. It is designed to send alert when an item
changes. It is a third party product. Have a try.
