Setting an Alert for 1 folder in Shared documents library?

There's a fellow in my group who needs to be alerted when documents
are added to a particular folder in the Shared Documents library,
but does NOT need to be alerted to every addition.

In the Alerts, I can set up an alert for "Shared Documents: All
Items" but I don't see how to filter or specify that down further.

Does anyone know how this is accomplished?

you can be alerted if a\some documents  area modified in a document library
and\or if a document is added  to that document library. So if you set  an
alert on a folder  it should work.
