Services - on which server roles?

Do I need to keep the SharePoint Foundation Web Application Servcie running on
an Applications Server that has no web sites? What services do I need to have
started on WFE server? Right now, I have Web Application Service, Workflow
Timer Service, Incoming E-mail service and Search Query and Site settings
Service and that's it. Do I need any otheres? Do I need all of these?

For what it's worth, I tend to run two services -- Search Query and Site
Settings, and SharePoint Server Search -- on the Web Front End servers.
Everything else, I split between the app servers depending on expected load.

I believe he is running SharePoint Foundation 2010
