"Service unavailable" error

I have installed WSS and SPS 2K3. All this while it was working fine and
I was able to open the sites and admin pages.
Suddenly, something happened (I don't know what) and now it gives me the
"Service unavailable" error on browser.

Please help me know which services are required for WSS/SPS to work
properly.
I checked the "Services" window and it shows all "Automatic" services to
have been started.

You might check to see if the app pools have changed. If an admin has changed a
service account pwd or If you are using a regular user account for the app pools
and the user account pwd has changed it will cause this. Also can trace SQL
Server to see if you are making connections.

I just updated the password on the shared app pools in IIS Manager and it
worked.
I might not have restarted IIS after changing the domain account's password.
The site is up again.
