Service Unavailable

Asked By: Adrianna Dyer         Date: Jul 04, 2007      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 239

I had a perfectly working SPS2003 site. The network admins applied some patches
on this server with win 2003 and spps2003. When I launch either individual sites
or the admin site, they all come back with a page saying "Service Unavailable"

We are getting the message "Service Unavailable" when we try to access
our SharePoint 2007 site. We run IISReset and that seems to fix the
problem for about 30 minutes. This is the message in the event log.

A process serving application pool 'SP2007_AP' suffered a fatal
communication error with the World Wide Web Publishing Service. The
process id was '4508'. The data field contains the error number.

I have followed the steps in this article from Microsoft.

I have also reviewed this article from Microsoft, although this is a
member server  not a domain controller.
