First noticed this with FrontPage, I've just changed over to SPD on Windows7 and problem still occurs. Details: When updating site, within a few seconds of start, I get a server timeout message. This only occurs on my largest site, updating other sites from same CPU to same hosting .. no problems. I can highlight the files and move them to the server side w/no problem. But, doing it this way do knocks out the sites menus.

In the past, I would go to the host server cpanel and uninstall, cleanup & reinstall the MS extensions and when I retried the update it worked. But, now, that workaround does not work.

I've even changed the menu design but, same timeout on update occurs.

I need my Nav. menus! Any ideas a non-programer could understand to correct this???
